JAMEELA ELFAKI*

Jameela Elfaki is a British (English and Sudanese) Photographer and Creative Director/Director based in London 


Elfaki is an artist who's work transcends categories and multiple mediums. Working across Photography,  Creative Direction, Filmmaking, Sound (DJing).


Jameela's practices are often focused on identity, representation and the visibility of Women and Non-binary folk of colour. Her work is often inspired by her own dual heritage, and exploring themes of the 'in-between' and the nature of different cultures/beliefs coming together.  Jameela also has a strong appreciation of the sci-fi genre, design and exploring fashion and futurism through an Afro-Arab cultural lens. 


Jameela is the Founder and Editor in Chief of independent Magazine, Platform and creative agency AZEEMA. which was  nominated for The DAZED 100 - 2021.  Elfaki is also a recipient of a PPA 30 under 30 New talent Award - 2019 and A participant of the Black Business Incubator at Somerset House 2022. 

Elfaki graduated with a Batchelor of Arts in Fashion Communication and Promotion at Central Saint Martins, 2017.


Photographic Clients include: NET A PORTER, British Fashion Council, Calvin Klein, Nike, Puma, Converse,  ELLE, GQ, PORTER magazine, Notion, Sole DXB, The Times. Elfaki has also worked with the likes of DAZED, SHOWSTUDIO, The V&A, The SOUTHBANK CENTRE, The TATE, Pinterest,  Press coverage includes, i-DDAZEDELLE, The Face and more.

Jameela's DJ clients include, TATE Modern, Night Tales, Southbank Centre and Soho House & more.
