Jameela Elfaki is a British (English and Sudanese) Photographer, Creative Director and Creative Consultant based in London
Elfaki is a creative artist who's work transcends categories and multiple mediums. Working across Photography, Creative Direction, Creative Consultancy, Filmmaking and Sound (DJing).
Jameela's practices are focused around identity, representation and the visibility of Women and Non-binary folk of colour. Her work is inspired by her own dual heritage, and exploring themes of the 'in-between' and the nature of different cultures/beliefs coming together. Jameela has a strong love of design and fashion.
Jameela's current personal projects include 'Sahra Archives' a collection of research exploring contemporary and archival fashion, Design and Spaces and cultural nuances through a futuristic Afro-Arab and Western cultural lens.
Jameela is the Founder, Editor in Chief and Creative Director of independent Magazine, Platform and creative agency AZEEMA and was nominated for The DAZED 100 - 2021. Elfaki is also a recipient of a PPA 30 under 30 New talent Award - 2019 and A participant of the Black Business Incubator at Somerset House 2022.
Elfaki graduated with a Batchelor of Arts in Fashion Communication and Promotion at Central Saint Martins, 2017.
